The chain itself
Challenge
Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit L2 that settles to Ethereum. Knowing that one sentence is most of what you need to reason about its safety. Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit L2 that settles to Ethereum. Knowing that one sentence is most of what you need to reason about its safety.
Solution
The chain produces about ten blocks per second, and a block carries about eight transactions. State roots are posted to Ethereum — that is the anchor every proof on this site hangs from.
- Gas is paid in ETH; the median base fee across the last twelve million blocks was 0.0225 gwei.
- USDG — a 6-decimal stablecoin — is the asset the chain settles in.
- Ninety-five tokenized US equities trade on the chain as ERC-20 tokens.
- Deposits from Ethereum confirm in about ten minutes over the canonical bridge.
There is no token, no staking and no validator set: the bridge is Ethereum contracts.
How it works
- Chain ID 4663; the testnet is 46630.
- ETH is the gas token on both sides.
- State roots are posted to Ethereum — that is the anchor every proof hangs from.
- Thirty-four of the tokenized equities have their own Chainlink aggregator on the chain.
ArbSys at 0x…64 returns the chain's own height; block.number returns Ethereum's.
Results
Every number on this page can be read back from the chain.
- The canonical bridge is the trustless default; the other routes are listed separately and labelled as such.
- The testnet runs on chain 46630 with the same tooling.
- Withdrawals take a 45,818-block challenge period on Ethereum — about 6.4 days.
